Health & Safety

Providing a safe and secure child care environment is our Number 1 priority. Whether it’s little details like wearing booties over our shoes to prevent germs in our Infant rooms or big safety initiatives like our electronic lock system — it all adds up to a clean, safe environment where you can feel every effort is being made to keep your child happy and healthy.

Creative Expressions has a set of safety and security procedures and standards that we strictly enforce. Highlights include:

  • Secure lobby and classrooms – Every entrance to a Creative Expressions is equipped with an electronic lock. All parents must know the PIN number to enter, while all visitors are greeted at the door to sign in and be assisted.
  • Visitor precautions – Photo identification is required from all unfamiliar visitors. A visitor listed as an authorized person to pick up a child must still show photo identification if the school director and/or associate do not know him/her.
  • Equipment safety – We take many safety precautions when it comes to our equipment and regularly monitor equipment to ensure it is in good working order.

While your children are in our care, ensuring their health and safety is a top priority for us. As a State licensed and accredited facility, we follow the Department of Health Licensing Rules for Child Day Care Centers. This includes frequent washing of teacher and children’s hands, along with abiding by the specific state guidelines for communicable illness. Working in partnership, we hope to significantly cut down on the amount of illness that your child will be exposed to at the Center.

In addition to our commitment to your child’s safety, we conduct monthly fire, tornado and emergency drills to help the children prepare themselves in the event of a real emergency. Included in this preparation is an “Alternate Safe Location” revealed to parents upon enrollment of their child. Our Center is locked at all times and protected by a security system, and all of our teachers are thoroughly background checked.
